Brisket Hash & Eggs (Blackstone Recipe)

This week, we made one of our new favorite camping breakfast meals: Brisket Hash with Eggs on our Blackstone griddle!

This is an awesome one to clean out your fridge and use up your leftover brisket or other smoked meat. For ingredients, we went with frozen hash browns, 6 eggs scrambled, a yellow onion, half a pack of mushrooms, some shredded cheese, and the secret weapon: ghee/clarified butter.

First, you cube/dice everything up. Then you heat up the griddle on the max heat so it gets really hot. Then grease it up with your ghee–that’s what gets the hash browns nice and crispy! Then chuck on your mushrooms and onions and whatever else you are throwing in. Let those ingredients color up most of the way.

When your hash is about 3/4 of the way done, that’s when you throw on your diced up brisket and let that warm through all of the way while your hash cooks the rest of the way. Once everything is ready to roll, sprinkle over a healthy dose of shredded cheese and let that melt into the ooey-gooey goodness.

That’s it, you’re done! That is one of the beauty parts of this meal. It is super easy to cook, takes less than 20 minutes to prepare, and the kids really love it! Nothing fancy, but a big time crowd pleaser. Plus, you get an excuse to smoke a nice brisket on your next big trip out there!

As always, eating that bomb food is a major part of the fun of camping for us, and that is #WhyWeWork! See you on the next adventure!!
