Forest River Kitchen Sink Fell Out | Easy Fix For Rockwood Sink

Our Rockwood 2706ws is less than 6 months old, but a few months ago our kitchen sink fell out! Apparently this is an issue for Forest River in general and not just the Rockwoods.

It was only being held in by some regular silicon. Luckily, we had some under-cabinet storage that helped prevent it from dropping all the way and damaging pipes! We have seen a bunch of RVers in the FB groups having the same issue, so we wanted to share our fix.

Some have recommended strapping it up or using clips and other solutions. We ended up going with some heavy duty construction adhesive from gorilla glue. Turned out to be an easy fix for our Rockwood sink. Ultimately, we cleaned up the bead of silicon that was on there, blocked it up really good, ran a new bead of gorilla glue, and then shimmed it back up against the counter top tight.

So far, we have gotten many nights and dishes done in there, lots of miles on bumpy roads, and it has been a few months and it is still in there tight. I know some people prefer bracketing it in or using straps, but we figured that since big under-mount, porcelain farmbhouse are held up with a good adhesive, that we would give it a shot for this super light RV kitchen sink. If it falls out again, we’ll do a mea culpa and strap it up!

We’re back out on the road and making more memories, so for us, we’ll chalk that up as an easy fix for the Rockwood sink and that is definitely #WhyWeWork. See you on the next adventure!
