Everybody says that you need to think about your “value proposition” for your channel: why would anybody want to watch your videos??
We’re a channel dedicated to RV life, providing the tips and tricks we pick up along the way, helpful products, fun camgrounds and adventures, and our approach to leaving the grind in the rear view mirror and focusing on #WhyWeWork in the first place.
All that being said, we don’t really have ANY chops or expertise when it comes to RV life. Quite the opposite in fact–we’re about the biggest noobs you’ll find out there on the road. I’m an economist by trade and Nadia spent 14 years working in digital marketing. We don’t know what the heck we’re doing and make tons of mistakes all the time.
We still get panic attacks every time we have to pull off for gas, or back our rig into a new campground. We’ve been lucky on the road thus far, but we’re just dreading that eventual first blow out… We haven’t found all of the majestic spots, and have yet to venture out of California with the new hybrid travel trailer. But, we have big plans…
And hey, maybe THAT is our value prop. We’re not experts. We don’t have tons of outdoorsman experience. We aren’t super handy. In shape. Polished. Knowledgeable. We’re just reformed desk jockies who got fed up with the grind. Maybe the benefit is that YOU can watch our shenanigans, learn from our screw ups, laugh with us, and fast forward your own journey by jumping straight into the places, products, and experiences that took us ages to discover. We’re already doing the heavy lifting on that front so you can just focus on #WhyWeWork, not on DOING more work.
We don’t always get it right, but that’s part of the fun of it. The one thing we can do is laugh at ourselves–we do that one REALLY well. Come along for the ride, we’ll have some fun.
