We were initially bummed about the electric stabilizers because we didn’t think we’d be able to install the JT Strong Arms like we had on our Jayco that we really loved. Somebody in the Rockwood RV Club on FB mentioned that Lippert makes these electric stabilizer jack pad adapters, which makes it possible to install the JT Strong Arms with electric stabilizers. We were super excited, because this is THE way when it comes to how to stabilize a travel trailer!
We have X-Chocks too, but these are way better and so far this is the best way to stabilize a travel trailer. If you are sick of waking up in the middle of the night because it feels like you’re sleeping on a boat whenever someone gets up to go to the bathroom, you might want to consider installing these.
How to install JT Strong Arms? The process is pretty easy and even I didn’t screw it up. This was my second time, and I did run into a few issues when it comes to putting the JT Strong Arms on the front of the trailer with the electric stabilizers. I called Lippert after the fact and they said to only use one set of strong arms on the front and not both like the instructions say, but I rigged up a solution that seems to be working like a charm so far.
